Kaleb’s Travels

I decided that I wanted to play with pattern fill and gradient using the GIMP.
This is what I came up with. I think that those two things that I used looked really nice together.

One day there was a spider

he drank lots of cider.

I was using the GIMP, thinking of what I would make, when I accidentally clicked on Alien Glow in the Xtns menu. I saw what the effect was and I tried it again and it was really cool so I used it in this.

One night I was sleeping and I heard some noises; they were so loud that they woke me up - I wasn't very happy! I got out of bed and followed the sound. It lead to the porch out the back where my toy cars were sitting on the floor. I saw some really little squares of paper and they had either red or black dots on them. I looked a bit closer and I noticed the squares of paper were tiny playing cards. My toy cars were playing cards with their wheels poking out so they could move the cards!

I was experimenting in The GIMP and clicked a few things and came up with this strange thing!

In this blog entry I will describe my first impressions of Nicaragua in general and Granada and our house in particular.

I had found a new gradient tool on the GIMP and I tried it out and it looked good so I made this picture of a robot walking through the mountains.

One day I was out in the back garden of my house playing with my Captain Jack toy, which is a plastic figure of Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I suddenly felt very hungry, so hungry that I grabbed a leaf off the nearest tree and ate it, because I was too distracted playing my game to think about going to the kitchen which was all the way around the other side of the house. I closed my eyes while I was chewing and then there was a funny feeling in my body. When I opened my eyes and looked back at Captain Jack he was much bigger than before.

One day I went to buy a mask that I really liked the look of. I went to the market on Sunday I had my 18 dollars in my pocket from my allowance. I got to the market and ran into the shop at the end of the hall. I got to the counter and I could see the mask hanging on the wall. It was of a tiger's face and I liked it because I am a tiger in the Chinese zodiac. The owner came out and asked what I wanted (he was very rude). I said, "I would like that tiger mask". He grumbled "You can't have it, it's not for sale".

I was very sad about what he said because I really wanted the mask.
