Blog: Day 3 in Nigeria: Chocolate Royale

Today was very delightful because we were going to a restaurant called Chocolate Royale for lunch. I almost fainted when we got there, it was so exciting.

But... when I went into the dessert section, I did faint. It was amazing what was in there. There were flambé, meringues, tarts, jaffa cakes and ... and, dare I say it, ICE-CREAM, crumble cakes, waffles, fruit cakes, donuts, pink walnut cakes and more.

We finally sat down and I ordered a milkshake and it was so nice that I wanted to be small enough to swim in the glass so I could have a chocolate milkshake pool. I also ordered a fairly funny dish called “Mozzarella Sticks”. What they are is Mozzarella cheese, shaped into a stick and covered in batter. They were very nice. We also had some ice-cream seeing as I was so keen. I had bubble gum flavor, Nana had mint and Poppa had chocolate.

I got some meringue and some ice-cream to take away to have for desert. Then we left and headed back home.

Later we had dinner which was nice: vegetables and rice. Then some of Pop's friends came over and I went to get changed in my pyjamas. We had dessert which was yum and then I went to bed and got some rest.

Wow !!! I remember it well too! And remember the yummy cakes we took home for Jerome and Faith and her kids. I had to do that again when I was there the next time too so I think maybe it will be a goodbye treat for them each time we visit now.!
