Hi everybody. I am really sorry about the big gap in blogs. I got a bit sick of writing blogs and stopped, but today I had some free time and Dad said that if I write two blogs he will buy me a basketball. So I decided to come and write some blogs. Here is a blog about my weekend.
On Friday afternoon, my aunty Jess came and picked me up from my house and took me to my mum's house. I stayed there for the rest of the weekend. That night Mum and I watched "Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe". I had seen it before but it was cool to see the movie with my mum.
On Saturday morning, I watched Saturday Disney on TV until Mum woke up and then I made some eggs on toast for breakfast. They ended up really nice, Mum liked them too. It was fun cooking the eggs because they kept popping and sizzling in the pan.
After breakfast, I helped Mum sort through some of her old stuff. In the six bags of things that we sorted through, Mum found heaps of stuff to chuck out. We also looked through drawers and, in the first drawer of stuff, Mum found a chain with a ball and hook on it. I used it to climb on the balcony and to climb up trees. It was a lot of fun.
After all the climbing, my aunty Melinda called and said that she was coming around to see us and my cousins were coming too. We went and saw our rabbits, Johnny and the one with no name. They are really cute. Then we rode around on a little tricycle like a scooter it is really fast and fun to ride on. When we came inside we watched the movie "Flushed Away" and had dinner, which was delicious! It was a sort of soup but it had noodles in it, which my aunty Melinda made. When the movie was over my cousins and aunty went home and Mum and I went to bed.
On Sunday, Mum and I spray-painted my skateboard. It now has four skulls on it - two red and two white. It took a long time to do because we had to make the stencils ourselves. After we had spray-painted the board it was time to go to a party at Scitech for my friend Jordan's tenth birthday.
{Most of you should know but Scitech is a large centre with lots of learning activities and fun, there is a lot of science involved at Scitech. It is located in West Perth but i cant remember which road, it is a cylinder building with a see-through dome roof made from criss-crossed metal and glass.
When we got there the first thing we did was go into a movie theater, which was inside Scitech, to watch an alien dressed up as a man (it was just an actor wearing dumb sparkly antennas on his head pretending to be an alien dressed up as a man). The "alien" wanted to steal all natural and man made electricity from the earth and our sun so he could play a video game. But, when he played the game he lost and that meant he had to give all the electricity back. Really I think it was a load of rubbish but it was also teaching a lesson. To me his acting was just average, to an adult just plain old bad, but maybe to a four year old kid it would be marvelous. The point of it all was to show where you can get electricity from natural or man made sources. The message was that playing video games and watching TV is a waste of electricity.
After that we went and ate some food and ice-cream cake. It was very nice but cold. We had egg and ham scones and fairy bread there was also ham sandwiches but i didn't have any. The food was all fairly good, I liked the scones the best. There were two different coloured drinks: green and orange. I had the green one which was called "hippo snot". The other drink was called "melted tiger". They were probably just cordial.
After the ice-cream cake we did some science experiments. The first one we did was where we got a glass of lemonade and put oil in it (the oil stayed at the top because the oil isn't as dense as the lemonade. Then we put food colouring and some pink powder in to the glass. I can't remember the name of the powder. When all the ingredients were in the cup we stirred it a bit and the food colouring started to bubble and swirl making a lava lamp. It was really fun and it looked really cool too.
Then we went to the lab and made "psyllium snot", which is a mixture made out of psyllium husks and hot water. What I found strange with this experiment is that it's actually a type of wheat that makes it gooey. I think it was really fun making the psyllium snot because we got to feel it. We didn't really get to play with it though. When we touched it it was wet cold and mushy.
After the psyllium snot activity, the party was over but we were allowed to stay longer and play on some of the equipment at Scitech.
I had to go pretty soon after the party finished, because mum had to drop me off to where Bridget and Dad do Aikido by the time they finished or she would have to drive me all the way back to our house.
I think that my weekend was really fun and that I would like to go to Scitech again soon. I also really hope that one day Mum and I can do something together again soon to.
