Do you remember me telling you how my iPod broke back in Perth? When it went through the wash it was a big tragedy. Well, it was fixed shortly after the accident during our London stay! We took it with us to London to see if it would dry out. It didn't start working so we took it to an Apple shop in London and asked if there was any hope and they said they had never heard of an iPod being fixed after going through the wash. When I heard that, I thought that dad would go through the roof, but poppa fixed it simply by searching for info on the internet. It turns out that someone had had the same accident before and they said they just re-charged their iPod. We did that and it WORKED!! So it only had FLAT BATTERY!! I felt so glad that pop had fixed it, YEEEESSSSSSS!!
We got up to wait for Ben because he was driving us to the airport. We had already packed our bags the night before. I was feeling excited to be going to Nigeria, but sad to leave London. When Ben arrived we got in his car to go to the airport. It took a long time to get to the airport so I bought some distractions; my iPod and Nana's mini DVD player. We got to the airport and went through customs to wait for the plane. At about 12:00pm We heard an announcement and it said “aircraft 747 jet to: Lagos Nigeria, is ready for boarding”. So we said bye to Ben which was a bit sad and went to terminal 4 and we went through the tunnel onto the plane. We got to our seats and got comfy.
Once we had taken off I watched a movie called “Night At The Museum” and some other shows from Disney channel on the screen on the back of the seat in front of me. The flight was six hours but it didn't seem like long before there was an announcement saying that we would be arriving in 5 minutes. Because I know about the bumping now I got prepared for it. We felt the bumps as we landed and then we stopped and we got up and went down the aisle of the plane with everyone else. The plane wasn't very full. We got off the plane and went through customs and immigration and then we went to get our bags. Our suitcases were all fine except for Nana's. When we got Nana's little suitcase it had been badly smashed: there was a wheel missing, Nana's clothes were showing at one corner, there was no handle on one side, and it was cracked in several places, It was... DEMOLISHED.
We got picked up at the airport by someone for Poppa's company. It was too dark to see on the car ride to the flat so i don't know who drove us and I didn't get to see much of Nigeria yet. When we got to the flat, we had some tea (the liquid) and went to bed.
The next morning I get woken up by a piercing screeeeeeeeeeeeeeech of an African animal, I don't know about Felix yet so he startles me! But more about that next time...

Flight to Nigeria
Hi Kaleb
I guess you don't want reminding of all the hassles at Heathrow airport we had, but you are right it was a good flight and it was Jerome that picked us up and took us back to the apartment.
Felix is missing us all and is talking his head off all the time. He is saying "Where is Kaleb?", also "Kiss, Kiss" and "Whatchudoing?" all the time.
Don't forget to tell about the flying saucer.
Cuidado de la toma
Te quiero

Hola, Kaleb, como estas?
I may have just got this 'adding a comment' exercise right this time. I wonder where all my comments have gone? Lost in cyberspace, maybe?
Anyway, I've read your entire Blog with enthusiasm and enjoyment (if this is how one says it), it is very interesting - you write well :)
Gracie has enjoyed the entries too. I bought her a very nice map of the world - she found Nicaragua pretty quickly once I'd told her it was in Central America, she also noticed that the El Salvador flag is very similar to the Nicaragua one. She'd quite like to try-out a hammock. lol
We're looking forward to reading more entries.
Of course, I have dozens of questions for you but I think your response might be a big yawn so I'll be content to just read and wonder :)
I'm so happy you're having the time of your life and picking up the lingo.
Hasta la vista!
Love Marg and Gracie xoxoxoxox
GRACIAS!!
